Registered trademarks in the Saudi Arabia have a validity of ten (10) years from the filing date and can be renewed indefinitely for further periods of ten (10) years.

Registered copyright is valid for 50 years from the death of the author.
Patent
Time frame to grant of a patent is 3 to 5 years from the filing date.
Registered patent is valid for 20 years from the date of filing.
Annual maintenance fees are due starting from the year following the filing date and should be paid from January 01 to March 31 of each year. Late payment is possible within three months after the due date with no surcharge and within a further grace period of three months provided that the fee is paid in the double amount.
Industrial Design
Time frame to complete the process is 10 to 12 months.
Registered Industrial Design is valid for 10 years from the date of filing.
There is no possibility of extension. Annual maintenance fees are due starting from the year following the filing date and should be paid from January 01 to March 31 of each year.
