  • A grace period of 1 month is allowed for filing a renewal application without penalty.

Patent

  • Time frame to grant of a patent is 3 years (West Bank & Gaza).
  • Registered patent is valid for 16 years from the date of filing.
  • The annuities are due after 4 years from the filing date where each annuity payment covers 4 years and can be repeated up to three times.

Industrial Design

  • Time frame to complete the process is 6 to 8 months.
  • Registered Industrial Design is valid for 15 years from the filing date.
  • The first renewal will be due after 5 years and renewable for two more periods of 5 years each.
