Trademark

  • Time frame to complete the process is 8 to 10 months.
  • Registered trademarks in Tunisia are valid for 10 years from the filing date.
  • The renewal application must be filed within 6 months before expiration date.
  • A grace period of 6 months is allowed for filing a renewal application with a late penalty fee.

Copyright

  • Time frame to complete the process 2 to 3 months.
  • Registered copyright is valid for 70 years from the death of the author.

Patent

  • Time frame to grant of a patent is 2 to 3 years.
  • Registered patent is valid for 20 years from the date of filing.
  • The annuities are due after grant with 6 months surcharge grace period.

Industrial Design

  • Time frame to complete the process is 3 to 5 months from the filing date.
  • Registered Industrial Design is valid for 25 years from the filing date.
  • The renewal is for two terms of 5 years within 5 months from the expiry date or 6 months after expiry with late penalty fees.
