Registered patent is valid for 20 years from the date of filing.
Annual maintenance fees of a Bahraini patent in force are payable every year on the anniversary of the filing date and become due after grant.
Industrial Design
Time frame to complete the process is 4 to 6 months.
Registered Industrial Design is valid for 10 years from the date of filing.
Renewable for a further five-year period for once only. The renewal fee shall be paid within the last year for the registration validity. In addition, industrial designs in Bahrain are subject to the payment of annual maintenance fees that are due from the second year of the publication date and must be paid on the anniversary of the publication.
